Filipinos can’t seem to get enough of reunions, gift-giving, and partying during the Christmas season–to say we enjoy the occasion is an understatement.
However, with all the Christmas parties happening, how do you make your party different and fun for your students? Read up and try these activities for the kids:
Children love receiving gifts no matter how cheap or expensive they are. Aside from the main exchange gift for the Christmas party, organize a weekly gift exchange within the class. Inexpensive but useful items such as pencils, keychains, notepads, or crayons would make each week more special.
Skip ordering your party food from fast food chains. Instead, bring home-cooked meals. That way, children will have a whole variety of choices.
It’s not really complete without giveaways. Bake your students cookies or buy them simple school supplies that they could use while studying. Christmas is a gift-giving season, share the spirit!
Play and learn
Skip the usual games and go for something new: create games that also incorporate lessons taken up in class. For instance, do a question and answer game. Ask questions related to your lessons, and the first one to answer correctly gets the prize!
Christmas parties with the students you cherish can become more fun and memorable with a little creativity–so get fresh ideas from them, too! For more tips on how to level-up your classroom and learning experiences, visit the PhilLife website: http://phillife.com.ph/
